Dermapen Step by Step with almost professional results

Today I want to talk about Dermapen (Microneedeling) at home. It is a treatment that I really like and it can be done easily and quite economically at home. I am going to explain you how to do it step by step. Microneedling is a form of mesotherapy that helps to rescind the signs of aging.

But, what is Dermapen and how does it work?

The Microneedling is a fairly simple treatment that helps many skin problems and not only on the face, it also serves for the whole body and scalp hair. Microneedling stimulates the production of collagen and combats skin flaccidity. The skin is pierced with small micro needles and the body produces collagen and new cells to repair these small wounds. These microchannels make the skin more receptive, the active ingredients enter deeper into the skin and have a better effect.

With this treatment you can attenuate expression wrinkles, blemishes, enlarged pores, stretch marks, scars and sun damage on the skin. It does not work miracles and the result always depends on the age and condition of the skin. The Microneedling treatment with the roller has been well known for a long time, but now with the new electric devices, it hurts much less and it is easier to do it at home. The microchannels are more precise and uniform.

I am 50 years old and I have quite pronounced expression wrinkles. I have had four Dermapen treatments at home so far and a few days ago a friend noticed that I look much better. Not that the wrinkles have disappeared, but I look more relaxed and with a more even skin tone. The nasolabial wrinkles and the barcode on my upper lip have softened quite a bit. My resolution for this year is to do one Dermapen treatment a month to get the best results.

Now, what is Dermapen in particular?

Dermapen in theory is the name of a specific brand, but it has established itself as a nickname for electric microneedling devices. It is a pen-type device with disposable cartridges. There are 12, 36, 42 and nano needle cartridges. The speed and depth of needle penetration into the skin can be adjusted. In general the depth ranges from 0.25 to 2.00mm. It is recommended for home treatment to use the maximum of 1.5mm for the face. The minimum depth of 0.25mm helps any active ingredient, such as hyaluronic acid, to better penetrate the skin and can be used up to twice a week.

For deeper treatments a rest time between treatments of three to four weeks is recommended, so that the skin has time to start producing collagen and elastin and can recover. Results are not seen from the first day, the body needs time to produce collagen, between 3-4 weeks, although from the beginning the skin can look more radiant. To see a noticeable improvement in the skin it takes between 3-5 sessions.
